when: dailyWhether you are a pre-schooler or a retired professional, whether you are visiting on your own, with a friend, with family, or with a group, there is always something to experience at the MMKA. From the art satchel for children to lectures for adults, from workshops on animation to watching artists’ films in the information area: at MMKA you can learn your whole life long and become informed about modern art and artists.
The MMKA has developed a regular range of educational activities for schools and groups, but customized activities are also possible. The education department is open to questions, proposals, or ideas. The department is made up of 8 museum docents (art historians, visual artists, and teachers of visual arts) and an education staff worker, Femke Hogenbosch. She is responsible for setting up educational projects for schools and individual visitors. She is also the contact person for people working in primary and secondary education and at cultural institutions in Arnhem. The MMKA does not operate alone, but collaborates with various cultural institutions in Arnhem, such as Kunstbedrijf Arnhem, Casa, ArtEZ, Volksuniversiteit Arnhem, Arnhem Mode Biënnale, etc. MMKA thinks it is important for young people to visit the museum. For this reason, the museum is free for everyone under 18. To get the most out of the museum visit, we recommend making use of one of our educational offerings during a group visit. You can contact Femke Hogenbosch Monday through Thursday, tel 026-3775301
